Bangkok. A few days ago, NokScoot Airlines was said to be downsized. But now the board has decided to liquidate it.

NokScoot had announced the sale of planes and layoffs because the low-cost airline is struggling to survive.

Only two days later it became clear that this fight was lost. NokScoot shareholders will discuss the resolution at a general meeting on July 14 and name the liquidator.

NokScoot, a joint venture between the low-cost carrier Scoot from Singapore Airlines and the Thai-based airline Nok Air, has not made a profit since it was founded in 2014. The corona pandemic exacerbated the situation and heralded the end for NokScoot. Leonard Brix
