Wat Yansangwararam. Wat Yansangwararam (Wat Yan for short) is an Indian-style temple located on Sukhumvit Road, about 18 kilometers south of Pattaya, in a park. On the sprawling temple grounds are many buildings worth seeing surrounded by tropical plants, streams and fish ponds. Wat Yan is a first-class royal temple and an important center of the Thammayut Nikaya, an order of Buddhist Theravada monks in Thailand.
The most imposing building is likely to be the Indian style square temple, with four smaller towers grouped around it. All five towers have golden chedis in common.
The best view is afforded by a small pavilion that visitors can access via a staircase with 288 steps. The strenuous climb is worthwhile, because from here you have a fantastic view from the hill over the entire complex, the coast towards Pattaya and Jomtien to Bang Sare. Wat Yan invites you for a long walk and is not far from Nong Nooch Garden.
